Dr. Simons, “Dr. Eli”, was on track for becoming a human physician when she decided her true passion was for the four-legged patient.  The Michigan native received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Grand Valley State University before graduating with her DVM from Michigan State University. 

Her studies have taken her across the globe including an agriculture and food production study in South Africa.  An internship in the Carolinas inspired her to make the south her new home.  Dr. Simons is most interested in general practice and enjoys soft tissue surgery, endocrinology, and dermatology.   

Now that she doesn’t have to shovel all that winter snow, Dr Simons finds pleasure in her hobbies of gardening, baking, fishing, and camping.  She shares her home with her husband Rob, one dog and three cats.
