The simplest way to describe our Registered Veterinary
Technicians is to call them veterinary nurses. They are yet another set of
skilled hands and eyes caring for your pet.
Under the supervision of our doctors, these carefully
chosen individuals provide direct patient care and are nursing and surgical
assistants. We are especially proud of our technicians and hold them as role
models in their field.
Our Registered Veterinary Technicians have all received
their two-year degrees from the American Veterinary Medical Association
accredited programs. (There are two in North Carolina: Sanford Community College
and Gaston College).

They then have to pass a grueling state and national exam
before they receive their license. Our technicians are also required to receive
continuing education to maintain their license.
Mallard Creek Animal Hospital uses only Registered
Veterinary Technicians to care for your pets. We are fortunate to have these
dedicated patient advocates as part of our team.
