What You Need to Know

When You Arrive

During your visit, please restrain your pets with a leash or pet carrier. If needed, we will be happy to provide either for your use.

Prescriptions

Please call the office prior to picking up any medication, including heartworm prevention. This way we may optimize your time by having your pet's prescription waiting.

Reminder System

Our computerized office enables us to mail monthly reminders for needed vaccinations and tests, as well as information about new types of care and services that may benefit your pet.

Fees

We accept cash, checks, debit, Visa, and MasterCard, Discover and American Express cards for required payment at the time of service. We also honor "Care Credit," a credit card payment plan for pet owners. Ask our staff for more details.

We offer over 56 years of veterinary experience.

Three generations of families entrust us with their pets.

In addition to our Veterinarians we have Registered Veterinary Technicians, licensed both nationally and by the State of North Carolina. These professionals assist out Veterinarians in the care and treatment of your pet.

We use Isoflurane and Sevoflurane anesthesia,  just as hospitals use on humans.

All surgeries have pre-op lab work and cardiac monitoring.

We are the Veterinarians for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Sheriff Department's Canine Unit.

We offer a separate cat ward for those cats who are boarding or hospitalized with us.

We use an ultrasonic scaler and polisher for dentistries.

With the advent of the microchip, we have been able to reunite lost pets with their owners.

Dr. Mark Green is the past recipient of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association's "Veterinarian of the Year" Award, twice recipient of the NCVMA Presidential Awards and the Martin Litwack Award for service to the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine.

Several of our former kennel assistants are now Doctors of Veterinary Medicine or Registered Veterinary Technicians.

Our doctors have been called upon to be "Show Vets" at dog and cat shows.

We have completed health certificates for world-traveling patients to far flung points across the globe.

We assist local humane societies in their endeavors.

Our Doctors are published authors.

At current publishing, our employees have among them, 128 pets...not including fish.

We assist local rehabilitators in caring for injured wildlife and often perform surgeries for the Carolina Raptor Center

We are the veterinarians to the Sheriff’s Department and the Federal Reserve Dogs

Mallard Creek Animal Hospital has funded an endowed scholarship to the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. Contributions to the My Dog Sam Scholarship Fund may be made by contacting the college.

We provide veterinary care for Guiding Eyes for the Blind Dogs.
