At the early age of seven, Kelly Brunette decided she
wanted to be a veterinarian. Her passion covered the gamete of the animal
kingdom which included the study of wolves, whooping cranes, lake trout, and of
course, our domesticated friends.
A graduate of Northern Michigan University with her
B.S. in Zoology and Masters in Biology, she continued her education at The
University of Wisconsin-Madison to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary
Medicine. A small animal internship brought Dr. Brunette to Charlotte where she
became smitten with the south.
She is excited to be at Mallard Creek Animal
Hospital where the families take such good care of their pets. Her favorite
aspect of medicine is ophthalmology and neurology.
Hobbies include kayaking, snowboarding, camping,
and reading. Pets include a sassy dog and two cats…one of which was her first
spay in vet school.
