Laurie Anne Walden, DVM Dr. Walden has been with Mallard Creek Animal Hospital since 1995. She grew up in South Carolina and graduated from the University of South Carolina with the B.A.S., an interdisciplinary degree from the Honors College. She received her DVM from North Carolina State University and completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Auburn University. After several years as a full-time veterinarian, Dr. Walden is now a part-time vet and a full-time mom. She and her husband Gary live in Charlotte with their two small children, one dog, and one cat. She enjoys reading, classical music, and hand bell ringing. When not chasing her children, she also volunteers for Librivox.org, helping produce audio books for the public domain.
