Behavior and Training
The doctors and staff of Mallard Creek are happy to discuss training for your puppy or trouble shoot any behavior issues you may have. We also have some partners in training for specific needs. We promote reward based training. All of our partners are APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) members and do regular continuing education.
Donna Rogers : K9 Capers Dog training - 704-721-6757
Located in Concord, Donna does mostly private lessons at her facility for basic obedience and manners. She works with normal problems like jumping, barking and loose lead walking. Check her out at www.k9caperstraining.com.
Robin Lincoln: Canine Pawrtners - 704-400-3467
Robin does in home training for basic manners and obedience as well as service and therapy dog training. She is comfortable in helping with the common behavioral issues (separation anxiety, leash based reactivity and aggression, inter-dog aggression). She focuses on relationship based training, all force free, reward based. She works in partnership with referring vets for patients that are in need of pharmacologic support to get to a point that learning can take place if other measures have failed. Marta’s main focus is on training puppies and getting dogs off to a good start in their households. She does private lessons but also offers day care with training to her clients at her home. She can help with problem behavior as well but tends to refer dogs with serious or very well established problem behaviors to other trainers.
