Medical Diagnostics
A physical examination cannot tell us everything about the health of your pet. Diagnostic tools help give us a more complete picture of your pet's health.
- -In-house bloodwork and urinalysis
- -Outside reference laboratory for more specialized testing and biopsies
- -Digital x-ray with review by a board-certified radiologist when necessary
Laboratory testing:
With our in-house diagnostic equipment, we can analyze blood and urine while you wait. Tests we can perform include complete blood count, blood chemistry, urinalysis, fecal flotation, heartworm test, feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus tests, fructosamine, thyroid test, and more. If your pet requires more specialized testing, we will send it to our reference laboratory and results will generally be back within the week.
Diagnostic imaging:
Our office offers both digital radiography and ultrasound. We can do a variety of studies including standard thorax, abdomen, and limb views. We can also do more specialized testing such as Orthopedic Foundation of America (OFA). We offer a range of ultrasound services, from brief studies to comprehensive studies by a board-certified radiologist.
